Why has the Constitution been amended so rarely?
1) The Founding Fathers have deliberately made the process difficult. (Super majorities).
2) Americans are cautious to tamper with the Constitution.
3) The Founding Fathers created a document that was deliberately unspecific and vague and so the Constitution will just evolve without the need for a formal amendment.
Some of the Constitutional rights from the Constitution.
1st amendment = guarantees freedom of speech.
5th amendment = (“pleading the fifth”.) protecting the individual from self incrimination.
2nd amendment = right to bear arms.
In 2008 who had to resign from their place in the Senate and why?
President Barrack Obama, because he became President and wasn’t allowed in more than one branch of Government at a time.
