16
Q

Neuroanatomical cause of PTSD

A

Hyperresponsive amygdala
Under Responsive prefrontal cortex( failure to suppress fear)
Reduced volume of hippocampus

17
Q

Criteria MDE

A

At least 2 weeks of more than 5 depressives symptoms

must include Depressed mood or Anhedonia

18
Q

Neuroanatomical Cause of MDD

A

increased-Amygdala firing, increased HPA axis( Cortisol, Cytokines)

Decreased: Hippocampal volume, Prefrontal Cortex activity and volume, Monoamines

19
Q

Neuroanatomical Causes for Somatic Symptom & Related Disorders

A

Overactivity of cingulate, insula and somatosensory cortex

amplified perception of pain

20
Q

Specifiers for Moods Disorder

A

Melancholic Features- worse in morning, loss of appetite, loss of sleep

Atypical-Weight increase, sleep increase

Psychotic Features- Mood congruent= sad Mood-incongruent=happy

With Catatonia-Mutism, immobility

Peri-Partum- MUST BE WITH IN 4 week of delivery

Seasonal Pattern-consistent temporal relationship

Rapid cycling- Used for bipolar with 4 or more mood episodes per year
