1

Q

How does the swinging flashlight test work?

A

It can identify asymmetry of afferent input in the pupillary light reflex. Called a Relative Afferent Pupil Defect (RAPD) eg. disease of optic nerve or retina.. optic neuritis or large retinal detachment.
