What is a sacrament ?
It is a ceremony (that is usually carried out by a minister or a Priest ) through which Christians believe they receive Gods Grace .And is a sign of Gods grace working within them.
How many sacraments do Roman Catholic believe in ?

What do people feel sacraments do ?
Make people feel closer to God
Why is baptism seen as a sacrament ?
Because Jesus was baptised .After his resurrection he told people to go out and baptise people
What did Jesus say about Baptism ?
No one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and spirit
What does baptism do ?
Makes someone a member of Gods family and welcomes them to the church.Some believe it cleanses people from original sin.
How are babies baptised ?
A sign of the cross is made on the baby and in many churches holy water is three times over the babies head in the name of the son ,the father and the holy spirit.
Why are some people agains baptising babies ?
Because they think you have to be old enough .So they agree with believers baptism for adults.
What do Catholics believe in ?
Transubstantiation so the bread and the wine used at mass becomes the flesh and blood and every mass is a reenactment. They believe that they receive saving power of Jesus into themselves through the bread and the wine.
Why do Catholics do the Eucharist more often ?
Because they place more meaning over it and they believe it is essential for a relationship with God.
What are the seven sacraments ?
baptism,confirmation,reconciliation,anointing the sick,matrimony,holy orders.Eucharist
What is confirmation ?
A ceremony where someone renews their vows made a when they were a baby.In Catholic confirmations the bishop anoints the believes forehead with holy oil called chrism
What is reconciliation ?
This involves the confession of a sin followed by contrition ,penance and absolution.The priests will give a penance a certain number of prayers to be said or a action to be done and they will pronounce absolution which is Gods forgiveness.
What is anointing the sick ?
A priest or bishop anoints a seriously unwell person with the oil of the sick .This through the holy spirut renews the persons faith and strength to cope with illness and accept suffering.
What is holy orders ?
The process which men are ordained as deacons,priests ore bishops.
