17
Q

anterior fibular head HVLA setup

A

pt supine
doc ipsilateral dysfunction
lateral hand on anterolateral fibular head
medial hand grasp foot
invert, IR, plantarflex
closepack the knee and slightly flex
thrust- rapid extension with downward/medial thrust through fibular head

18
Q

posterior fibular head HVLA setup

A
Pt supine
doc contralateral dysfunction
MCP of cephalad index finger on posterior aspect of fibular head with hypothenar on hamstrings
ER tib-fib complex
thrust futher flexion
19
Q

ankle inversion/eversion SD HVLA setup

A

pt supine with doc at foot of table
one hand on calcaneus, other on dorsum of foot
inversion thrust - caudad traction with hypereversion of ankle
eversion SD - caudad traction with hyperinversion of the ankle

20
Q

plantarflexed talus SD HVLA setup

A

pt supine with doc at foot of table
fingers interlaced on dorsum fo the foot, thubms on ball of the foot
traction and dorsiflexion

21
Q

metatarsal HVLA setup

A

pt supine
physician ipsilateral to dysfunction
thumbs over distan end of metatarsal and proximal end of first phalanx
thrust downward through thumbs

22
Q

Hiss whip setup

A

pt prone with hip and knee of affected leg at edge of table
thumbs over plantar surface of affecte structure with fingers on dorsum of foot
slightly abduct pt LE off table and flex knee
thrust downward through thumbs

23
Q

posterior fibular head BLT setup

A

pt supine
thumb of cephalad hand on superolateral aspect of fibular head
caudad hand inferior to distal tibia
thumb of fibular head applies pressure straight towards foot while caudad ands inverts foot to point of BLT

24
Q

femorotibial SD BLT setup

A
pt supine doc ipsilateral
cephalad palm overanterior femur
caudad palm over tibial tuberosity
lean into pt leg with posterior force
approximate femur and tibia with compressive force
induce IR/ER to BLT
25
Q

boot-jack technique BLT setup

A

pt supine with knee under physicians axilla (ipsilateral)
medial hand holds calcaneus with thumb and index finer
fingers of lateral hand wrap around medial foot

fulcrum w/ elbow
distract calcaneus from talus by leaning back
plantar flexion

26
Q

cuneiform and metatarsal BLT setup

A

pt supine
thumbs on dorsum of distal metatarsal and fingers on plantara spect of foot
press thumbs downward toward metatarsals until BLT
