Easter and Christmas have a strong emphasis on celebration within family. Children are asked to honour their parents and are asked to respect and look after them.

They think that family life teaches people to be kind, considerate and affectionate. Strong family ties strengthen the Muslim community. Qur’an asks people to care for their parents. Aqiqah and bishmillah marks the start of the child’s religious education to help connect the child to the faith. Mosques often have schools that teaches Arabic so they can read the Qur’an and say prayers and teach hadith and sunnah
