A

Transverse furrows from temporary arrest of nail growth

Examples: malaria, typhus, rheumatic fever, Kawasaki, MI, chemotherapy, GBS neuro, Raynaud’s, trauma, high altitude climbing, deep sea diving

Nails grow 0.1mm/day - can date the stress
