This is law made by somebody other than parliament but with the same authority as parliament, the power is given through the parent/enabling act.

3 types of del leg

1. Statutory interpretation, laws made by govt departments and their ministers because they are experts eg criminal evidence act.
2. Orders in council, laws made by the queen/pm/privy council, used when parliament is not sitting or to transfer responsibility between departments eg terrorism order
3. By laws, laws made by local authorities and public corporations, made for issues in local areas and for people who use public corps services eg nexus Tyne and Wear.
