absence of women has been ignored - but if men behaved like women then prisons would be empty - it is important to highlight WHY men do and women DONT.

mainstream criminology follows visible crimes that are mostly committed by young males - element of truth, but male criminologists poke in dark areas in order to focus on males as opposed to studying women.

feminist studies have served a valuable role in emphasising that female criminality cannot be ignored or passed off as pathological.

in future there will be no excuse for any writer to ignore criminal activity of half of the population.
