What is automatic stabilisers
A
Boom/recovery —> high income so more money taken in income tax, more money taken in VAT, less money spent on unemployment benefits so AD is dampened
Recession/slump —> low incomes so less money taken in income tax, more money given out in benefits so AD is boosted
