Q

What is ‘locus of control’?

A

Refers to internal and external factors, and reflects whether a person perceives that they have control over their behaviour or they are controlled by external factors.

Eg. A student who has an internal locus and performs poorly on a sac, will accept that they need to work harder for the next sac.

A student who has an external locus and performs poorly will blame the teacher, or simply the fact that it was a hard sac.
