How did national guard come into being

A

12-13th July anarchy so Parisian electors met st the town hall and set up commune to take control of city and national guard to restore order and if necessary protect the Parisians from any action by king but mostly protect property from attack

Paris needed weapons. So what did they do

A

14th July
Crowd of 8000 surrounded Les Invalides where 32,000 muskets and some artillery was found but this was useful without gun powder. Hmmm where shall we get gunpowder from? Hey ! What about the BASTILLE YO!

A

Had to be persuaded to go to Paris on 17th July along with members of the assembly to address Parisians from town hall. He wore revolutionary cockade and appeared with new mayor of p, bail ly and lafay and announced reinstatement of necker and his acceptance of NA, p comm and the Nash guard
