What is a force field?
A force field is an area in which an object experiences a non-contact force.
How could a force field be represented?
Using a diagram containing field lines.
What does the spacing between the field lines represent?
The space between the field lines are relative to the strength of the force exerted by the field in that region.
Describe an electric field.
A region of space where a charged particle experiences a force
What equation can be used to find the electric field strength?
E = Force / Charge where the charge is of the object that creates the electric field
How does electric field strength differ between uniform fields and radial fields?
Electric field strength varies in a radial field whereas it is constant in a uniform field
State Coulomb’s law.
The magnitude of the force between two point charges is directly proportional to the product of their charges, and inversely proportional to the square of the distance between them.
