Config and Ports Flashcards

1
Q

What is dynamic port remapping?

A

When dynamic port remapping is enabled (which is the default), Tableau Server first attempts to bind to the default ports, or to user-configured ports if they are defined.

If the ports are not available, TS attempts to remap most processes to other ports, starting at port 8000. When next restarted, TS will revert to using the default or configured ports.
