Answer 1

Yes, but must not knowingly participate in decisions or actions of the org that would cause a conflict with a client

Can a lawyer serve as a director, officer, etc of an law reform org, even if the reform may affect the interests of a client?

Answer 2

Yes, but if the lawyer knows a client’s interests will be materially benefited by a decision in which the lawyer participates, the lawyer must DISCLOSE the fact but NEED NOT IDENTIFY the client
