  • typically come in pairs but can be more than 2
  • accompany arteries and take their name
  • necessary for limb survival
  • smaller

Superficial:

  • not paired
  • do not accompany an artery
  • larger

Superficial:

  • Superficial to deep fascia
  • Follow superficial veins
  • Drain into deep lymphatic vessels

Deep:

  • Deep to deep fascia
  • Follow follow arteries & deep veins
  • Drain into Right Lymphatic Duct or Thoracic Duct
