Describe a type I error.

A

A type I error is when you reject the null hypothesis when it is actually true –meaning you think there’s a difference when there’s not.

Remember it this way: 0.05 is the usual alpha. If you reject the null hypothesis it means that the P should be greater than 0.05 but it’s not. Alpha = One error.
