Engine Type

A

Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A-114A. Producing 675SHP.
Air enters from the air inlet located on the left side of the nose cowling then passes through the Inertial Separator, it forces heavier particles out to the inertial outlet by turning the air into a sharp turn once in Bypass mode. The air then passes through the air inlet screen to the 3 axial and 1 centrifugal compressor stage. In between the rotors are located the stators, they channel the air and increases it static pressure.
The air then channeled to the combustion chamber where it is mixed with fuel by the 14 simplex fuel nozzle located in the combustion chamber. It is initially ignited by the 2 igniters during start.
The expanding gas then exits and rotates the compressor turbine that drives the compressor and it also rotates the power turbine that drives the propeller through 2 planetary reduction gearbox.
The air then exits via the exhaust located on the lower right side.

Propeller Type

A

McCauley/Hartzell Propellers. Constant speed, hydraulic operated, consist of 3 aluminum propeller blades. Full feather angle of 88 degrees, low pitch angle of 15,6 degrees and max reverse angle of -14 degrees. Max diameter of 106 inches and minimum of 104 inches. 4 Prop Governors, test for 1750 +-60rpm.
