They convert various stimuli into electrical impulses

Pressure and temperature
What does the nose detect?
Chemicals in smell
What do the eyes detect?
Light waves
What does the tongue detect?
Chemicals in food
What do the ears detect?
Sound and position of head
What is the difference between the functions of the sensory and motor neurones?
Sensory neurones carry signals from the outer parts of your body into the main nervous system. Motor neurones carry signals from the central nervous system to the outer parts of your body.
What is homeostasis?
Maintaining an optimum interval environment in the body
What 2 systems are involved in the coordination and control of the internal environment?
