Q

How does information get into the cerebellum?

A

Info synapses on cells in the internal granule cell layer. Axons of the granule cells project ot the molecular layer there they synapse on the dendrite of the purkinje cells. The purkinje cells are the pathways out of the the cerebellar cortex. These axons project to the deep nuclei o th cerebellum.

Q

How does information get out of the cerebellum?

A

Most of the output exists via the superior cerebellar peduncle and goes to the contralateral thalamus (VL) to reach the contralateral motor and motor-association cortex.
