what does cell cycle mean ?
The regular sequence of growth and divison that cells undergo.
what does interphase mean ?
The stage of the cell cycle that takes place before cell divison occurs; during this stage ,the cell grows ,copies it’s DNA ,and prepares to divide.
what does Replication mean?
The process by which a cell makes a copy of its DNA in its nucleus.
what is mitosis ?
The stage of the cell cycle during which the cells nucleus divides into two new nuclei and one copy of the DNA is distributed into each daughter cell.
what does chromosome mean ?
a double rod of condensed chromatin; contains DNA that carries genetic info.
what does chromatid mean ?
One of the identical rods of a chromosome.
what does cytokinesis mean ?
The final stage of the cell cycle, in which the cell’s cytoplasm divides, distributing the organelles into each of the new cell
