When measuring jugular venous pressure waves - the waves are A, C and V
What cardiovascular events do the jugular venous waves represent?
A
Note: this is VENOUS, not arterial - no valves
A - Right atrial contraction: the strongest wave
C - Ventricular contraction: part of the A wave
V - Atrial filling (as blood moves from arterial to venous and back toward heart - blood returns!)
