A
covers & lines all body surfaces inside and out
- covers as cells are in contact
- lines hollow organs, cavities & ducts
- forms glands (as cells descend under surface)
- (absorptions and secretion)

Connective Tissue
A
- material found b/w cells
- supports & binds structures together
- stores energy as fat
- provides immunity to disease, etc.
- (serves to connect things)/Fluid connective tissue (blood)

Muscle tissue
A
contracts with force for movement
-(allows muscle contractions)

Nerve tissue
A
- conducts electrical signals
- detects change inside & outside the body
- responds w/ nerve impulses
- (cells in the tissue of brain and spinal cord, electrical conduction/nerve impulse)
