Snow mould

A

Fusarium Patch - in Autumn and after long-lying snow.
Yellowing grass
Patch increases in size up to 1m
In moist weather the edges can have white/pale pink fluffy mould
Prevention - better drainage, don’t walk on snow covered grass

Red Thread

A

Corticium Disesase
Irregular patches of bleached grass with pinkish tinge.
In moist weather there will be small, red, needle like growths in grass.
Does not kill turf but is unsightly.
Prevention -feed lawn

Fruiting bodies (toadstools) visible in Autumn
