Slightly warm & pungent so some what drying, do not use with patients that have Yin deficiency cough or in w/ middle Jiao deficiency w/ loose stool

pungent & very dispersing not for unproductive cough due to Lung qi deficiency

Warming & draining, do not use for chronic Yin deficiency cough, use cautiously if at all in infants; use caution in diarrhea
