Old Harry rocks

A
  • headland made out of chalk. Goes out into the sea so vulnerable to high energy waves. Formed Old Harry over time

Chesil beach

A
  • example of a bar. Sediment has been deposited over time to form a spit. The spit has continued to join the Isle of Portland. Behind the spit there is a Fleet, a lagoon

Swanage bay

A
  • the area around Swanage is made up of bands of hard and soft rock. Soft=clay and sands Hard=chalk and limestone. Clay erodes quicker than hard rock forming headlands and bays
