What is a Newton metre
A Newton metre is a device that measures force it is also known as a force metre

What is a contact force
A force that only works when two objects are in contact with each other
What is a non contact force
A force that can work at a distance
What is air resistance
A form of friction caused by particles of air acting against a moving object
What is upthrust
An upward force acting against the force of gravity
What is the difference between weight and mass
Weight is measured in newtons is given to any object affected by the force of gravity
On the moon your mass is the same but your weight will change
What is resultant force
The total amount of force acting on an object when all the forces are acting on it
What is the formula for working out density
E.g. something = something ÷ something
Density = Mass ÷ Volume
