Diagnostic Criteria

A
  • Persistent restriction of energy intake leading to significantly low body weight.
  • either intense fear of gaining weight, or behavior that interferes with weight gain.
  • disturbance in the way one’s body weight or shape is experienced, negative evaluation of self-based on body shape, or cannot understand the seriousness of low body weight.
