Q

Method

A

4 articles (2 from the sun and 2 from the guardian)
We googled them looking on the specific websites looking for terms like ‘mental health’ ‘depression’ ‘schizo’ etc and got lots of articles
We filtered down to 4 looking for relevance, length how opinionated it was VS informative
Read through the articles and highlighted words which seemed important because they were positive or nagative- counted the occurance of each eg crazy
We then counted then up using the codes of positive and nagative words
We looked at how the words were used/ what context ie was a negative term being used in a quite or was it an actual negative mention etc
We got a second person to go through and do the same analysis to check for inter-rater reliability
