What are the 7 C’s of communication?
Conciseness, Correctness, Concreteness, Completeness, Consideration, Clarity, Courtesy.
What is Conciseness?
Delivering your message using few, relevant words without unnecessary details or repetition.
What is Clarity in communication?
Saying exactly what you mean using simple, precise language.
What does Completeness in communication mean?
Providing all necessary information so the audience doesn’t need to ask follow-up questions.
What is Assertive Communication?
Expressing thoughts honestly and respectfully while listening to others; the most effective style.
What is Passive Communication?
Avoiding expression of opinions and letting others take control, often to avoid conflict.
What is Aggressive Communication?
Forcing opinions on others with loud, controlling behavior, often ignoring others’ views.
What is Passive-Aggressive Communication?
Indirectly expressing anger or resistance while appearing passive, e.g., sarcasm or silent treatment.
What is the STAR method for interviews?
S – Situation, T – Task, A – Action, R – Result; a structure for answering competency-based questions.
Types of interview formats?
One-to-one, Panel, Telephone, Video, Skype.
What are Competency-Based Questions?
Questions that ask for examples of past behavior to predict future performance (e.g., teamwork, problem-solving).
What are Strength-Based Questions?
Questions about what you enjoy doing and what gives you energy or comes naturally.

50% body language, 40% voice, 10% words.
How to be more assertive in communication?
Be honest, stay calm, use “I” statements, listen actively, and respect different views.
