What is polyuria? Leads to?

A

Excess glucose spills into the urine and is excreted - causes water to follow the higher osmotic pressure of the urine (increase water loss)

What is polydipsia? Results in?

A

Fluid loss of polyuria draws out water from cells, leading to dehydration. Results in the “condition of much thirst”

A

Lack of nutrients specifically glucose entering the cells stimulate appetite in order to increase nutrient intake. Leads to condition of much eating
