-stop transfusion
- change IV tubing
-treat shock if present with O2, fluids, epineprine as ordered,

  • obtain 2 blood samples distal to infusion site
  • obtain first UA test for hemoglobinuria
  • mannitol with suspected renal involvement
  • monitor fluid/electrolyte balance
  • evaluate serum calcium levels
