Q

How does transpiration work?

A

Water evaporates into the air spaces of the leaf then diffuses our through the stomata

Q

Name what conditions speed up transpiration and why

A

Heat- causes water to evaporate quicker
Dry-increase water vapour concentration gradient
Wind-moves water away from the leaf maintaining the concentration gradient

Q

What does a plant do to prevent wilting
