Topical steroids applied to a herpes ulcer will cause an amoeboid ulcer which is very difficult to treat

Dermatomal ophthalmic branch of trigeminal skin rash, with or without hutchinson’s sign.
Conjunctivitis is common, rarely can develop a corneal ulcer
