What was the medieval king supposed to do?
To make sure justice was in place and fair to all people.
To protect the kingdom from all enemies and rebellions
How did a king show off his power and authority over people
Coronation ceremonies (crowning ceremonies) would see holy oil placed on the king and people would interpret this as his right to rule over them as sent from god
During the ceremony the king would pledge to protect his people and keep them safe.
The minuet he was crowned he became Rex meaning his power was god given and could not be changed
Why was it important for kings to be itinerant?

It helped him build relationships with Barons because he stayed in the different castles around the country and helped people know he actually was the king
