What is FCP

A

This is a developmental defect of the one of the coronoid process (medial or lateral). As it develops a fissure/crack occurs and this bony protrusion separates from the rest of the bone. This separation causes pain and joint instability.

Patient Prep

A

The patient is clipped from the shoulder to the carpus, including the circumference of the limb.

A

The patient is placed in dorsal recumbency with the limb suspended for draping.

A
