An enzyme is a biological molecule that speeds up a reaction

Why does an enzyme have an optimum PH?
A
If the temperature is:
- Too high = the enzymes active site will denature which means the substrate cannot bind to form a reaction can NO LONGER FUNCTION.
- Too low = the enzyme cannot work at a rate which is effective enough
