A

types of mechanical injuries:

  • compression: caused by produce weight within package, overfilling/stacking; underfilling (collapse)
  • impact: caused by dropping from heights, dropping filled containers, dropping items on produce, jerky transportation, sudden breaks, bumpy roads
  • cuts
  • vibration: caused mostly during transportation
