What do you need to do to care for and maintain the baton?

A

Keep it dry
If exposed to salt water, open the shaft and dry with a soft cloth
Check the cap and o ring periodically, to ensure its not perished or broken
Check the tip for looseness
Always close the baton in a vertical motion
Damage to the retaining clip assembly may occur when closing the baton with too much force

What should you check after using your baton?

A

Check occasionally for hairline fractures or excessive wear between sections
Fractures may occur if the baton is continuously opened with too much force
