Q

What are the evaluation points of failure to function adequately?

A

πŸ‘Ž- possibly inaccurate- abnormality βœ–οΈ always accompanied- dysfunction- some have psychological abnormality BUT live normal life- e.g. Harold Shipman ( GP πŸ‘¨β€βš•οΈ who killed πŸ”ͺ his patients- had wife πŸ‘© and children πŸ‘Ά and supposedly lived normal life- educated as well- wouldn’t expect)- some βœ–οΈ function adequately BUT normal (e.g. bad day)
πŸ‘- GAF scale use- assess degree- abnormality (coping with daily life?)- … used to diagnose abnormality if βœ–οΈ functioning adequately
πŸ‘Ž- 7 criteria- difficult to measure & analyse- subjective & βœ–οΈ scientific πŸ§ͺ/objective- psychologists- cautious- using model- some criteria- ignored- normal to display- certain scenarios
πŸ‘- easy- assess consequences- dysfunctional πŸƒβ€β™‚β€- measure level- functioning- e.g. absences- school 🏫/work
