caste system

A

the caste system was a from of society, people were born into their caste. you were not allowed to move into a different sate, the laws are what dictated what you could and could not do. there are 5 levels

  1. Dalit/untouchable they are the lowest, and performed unclean jobs like street,sweepets,waste handlers, dead boy handlers.
  2. Sudra,commoners,peasents,laborers,servents
  3. Vaishya, merchants, landowners
  4. Ksatrivia, warriors and rulers
  5. Brahmins,priests,scholars

  2. math(abstract,and negative numbers, algebra)
  3. astronomy(identified 7 planets, understood the rotation of the earth, and predicted sun and moon eclipses.
  4. medicine, set bones, evidence of plastic surgery, had free hospitals, knew about the need for cleanliness and disinfection, had small pox vaccine.
  5. inoculation, the practice of infecting a person with a mild form of the disease so they will not become ill form the more serious form.
