Storytellers Secrets

A

Clients buy from people they are comfortable with, people they consider friends…

And friends don’t sell, they tell stories.

All Success begins with the ability to sell something, whether it’s a shirt or an idea.

A
  1. Why did you start a company/business?
  2. What does your business do?
  3. What are you passionate about?
  4. What makes your heart sing?

The first three elicit facts; the fourth triggers a story

Facts alone don’t inspire. The heart of your story gives your facts their soul and make your heart sing.

A

  2. The story of us
  3. The story of now

  • reviews
  • blogs
  • written testimony

Help make it easy to know, own, rehearse and share their story of self

Give them opportunities to tell and practice in safe places first.

A forum, a blog, a members only community, etc

Then the story of us

Q

Stories and Transformation

Stories are always about transformation. Whether we know it or not, whatever story we are telling, we are always sharing a “threshold” moment.

This means we are at a crossroads in our life, a turning point, a fork in the road.

This threshold is a call to wake up, or to rise up or both, to a challenge before us.

Fundamentally, we are being called to change. To discover our inner courage to become our best selves.

This moment is always elemental- a kind of fire, a spark carrying us towards transformation.

A

Stories provide the context to understand the awakening of transformation.

The call to conscience, the blooming of the soul into maturity.

This experience is most powerful when it occurs at the cusp of an era, a transitional turning point in a persons life, or in current events, as we experience the world change before our very eyes.

Transitions and thresholds.
