What are the muscles of the posterior abdominal wall?

A

PSOAS MAJOR-flexor of the thigh of the trunk

PSOAS MINOR-minor flexor of trunk (not always present)

QUADRATUS LUMBORUM-Stabiliser of the 12th rib, flexor and lateral flexor of the trunk

ILIACUS forms complex with Psoas major and their combined tendon inserts into the thigh to help flex it
