A SEZ is a Special Economic Zone
Why did China locate its SEZ’s along the pacific coast?
They are along the pacific coast because Chinas leaders would promote and facilitate trade overseas.

In ShenZhen during 1980

XIamen and the province of Hainan
How would Chinese leaders encourage trade n the SEZs?
They would encourage trade by offering lower taxes and fewer regulations on imports and exports.

Agriculture does not contribute much to the country’s GPD but it employs 40 percent of the country’s workers.
What law was intoduced to China in 1979 and why
One-Child policy, it was created because of the over population in China, the law says that families in urban areas can only have one child.
What happened in 2011 with the one-child policy?
China?s goverment loosened the policy in the provinces that had low birth rates.
What happened to the fertility rate after the one-child policy was created?
The fertility rate went down 400mllion since the policy was put in place.
What disadvantage has the one-child policy caused in China?
- Mot of the children are only childs which can cause them to be spoiled.

They encourage more education towards woman since the believe that if the educate woman better they wont have a lot of children.
