Which article gives power to the Judiciary branch?
Article three.
What is the Judiciary branch’s job?
To interpret the law. (Making sure a law is constitutional)
What is the lowest court level in the Judiciary branch? And how many courts are of that level?
The lowest level is District Courts and there are 94 of them in the United States.
What is the middle court level in the Judiciary branch? And how many courts are of that level?
The middle level is Courts of Appeal and there are 13 of them in the United States.
What is the highest court level in the Judiciary branch? And how many courts are of that level?
The high level is the Supreme Court and there is only one of them in the United States(they have the final say)
Why are there three branches?
To keep each other in check so one branch does not abuse its power(each branch has the same amount of power).
What does Article four say?
It talks about how the states should interact with each other.
What does Article five say?
It talks about how an amendment can be made.
How do you make an amendment?
It first has to be proposed by either 2/3 of the states or 2/3 of both the Senate and House and to ratify it 3/4 of the state legislators or 3/4 of the states have to agreed on ratifying it.
How many amendments are there?
There are 27 amendments.
What does Article six say?
It says that the constitution is highest law of the land and that no other law can go against it.
What does Article seven say?
It says that at least nine states had to ratify the constitution.
How many justices have there been since 1869?
There have been nine justices since then.
How are judges chosen?
First, they are nominated by president then confirmed by Senate.
