What are our risk management principles?

Risk management is about knowing our options, Understanding what could stop us from achieving our objectives, And what could help us achieve them.
The timely and transparent reporting in escalation of risks ensures what?
Ensures there is an early warning of emerging risks safeguards us from potential surprises and enables Police to make robust, well informed decisions

Why do we need to know about health and safety?
Legal- It’s the law
Ethical- Looking after our people is the right thing to do
- Our business- Good health and safety is good business (Core to our business)
What are the definitions of HSWA, Work NZ, Duty holder, PCBU, Workplace, Work environment, Health, Duty of care?
As a leader, what must you do for health and safety?
Leaders must
- Support the safe and healthy work practices of your team
- Be aware of risks related to Work how to manage these risks, How to respond to incidents and communicate regularly about health safety and wellness and complete health and safety inductions
Who should you call if there is an unresolved health and safety issue?
A health and safety representative to ensure fear representation across the Work group
What are duties of workers under S 45 HSWA?
- Take reasonable care for their own H and S
- Take reasonable care that the acts/admissions do not adversely affect the H & S of others
- Comply as reasonably able with any instruction that is given by PCB you to allow to comply with the act or regulations
