Fuel System Flashcards

1
Q

Fuel system

A
  • supply fuel in the correct quantities
  • supply fuel to the eng and APU
  • control transfer of fuel from center tank to wing tanks

Q

Fuel feed sequence

A
  • From center to wing: FLSCU reopen the center tank transfer valve when the eng have used 250kg of wing tank fuel (when the fuel level reaches the underfull sensors)
  • from ACT to center: ACT transfer start after takeoff at slats’ retraction if the center tank high-level sensor has been dry for 10mkn

Q

Fuel tank inerting system

A

The aim of this is to reduce the flammability in the fuel tanks that have a high flammability exposure
(Produce an oxygen-depleted air “with less than 12% of oxygen” that goes in the center tank to replace
