Stars, as per known mechanisms of evolution actually destroy lithium in their Red Giant stage . However many stars have found to contain huge amounts of lithium. This was confusing

What did Indian researchers now find ?
A
They say that the stars grow beyond their Red Giant stage into a Red Clump stage in which they produce Lithium in a process of “Helium Flash”
