this makes sure the fuel calculation takes again the value of the fuel flow sensor in case the engine is restarted

  1. all intervening waypoints from the present FR-TO leg to the first approach waypoint will be sequenced and HSI guidance will be to that waypoint
  2. desired track pointer will be set to the inbound course of the approach
  3. FMS will transition to HDG mode, and the pilot must manually set up the correct approach intercept angle. (normally coincides with ATC vectors)
