Describe the hierarchy of Australia’s GIs.

A

Zones are large areas without any particular qualifying attributes. They can be states or several states. These zones (except Barossa) are rarely seen on labels.
Regions - can vary in size and are smaller than zones. Must have distinct qualities
Sub-regions- if there are notable areas that have distinct qualities.
Eden Valley is a region in the Barossa Zone.
